265 get behavior change - data initially marked

In version 265 compared to 265, when you access an editable field, the field data is now appeared as marked and show in reverse video compared to version 264. I know some individuals were discussing some things like this the last few months, but was this behavior intended. I anticipate that I will get questions from the users as the behavior/appearance is different.
