Op locks and other demons

Hi guys
As WIN10 seems to be being taken up by a lot of our customers, we are looking again at whether the OP LOCKS and SMB registry manipulation is still thought to be necessary.
We were originally having problems on networks with at least one WINXP PC along with one or more PCs with WIN7 (and upwards). So SMB2 was being disabled in that situation.
Now we seem to be in the opposite situation where using SMB1 appears to be causing more issues (including security related ones).
So we thought it might be a good idea to find out what everyone else in this community thinks.
Should we start disabling SMB1 instead? How is everyone else handling this?
