We have a lot of european characters in our dbf files, eg. éàèç...
If we open this in DOS, we can read them normally, opening with Xbase++ is also without problem.
At this moment we are testing with Advantage, and the european characters are not correctly displayed. In the Advantage Configuration Utility we tried about every combination of character settings for ANSI and OEM.
Anyone with suggestions for this problem?

Re: Advantage and European characters
I assume your app is using the OEM character set. For that, the ADS must be configured for OEM (two settings). I remember those settings do not effect a running server. You may stop the service and restart it. If this does not work, de- and reinstall it.

Hi,
Meanwhile we found it. The way we added the DBF to our dictionary was wrong.
