Roger,
I have seen this error before, but we have a user that cannot print to their printer at all from our app. The only thing that will print is the error log, which does not use dcprint.
The user had been working for a very long time, but was having remote connection issue. The IT guy deleted her user and reinstalled her and her printer, Her printer has been deleted and reinstalled various time to try to get it to work with dcprint commands, but will not. All other programs she uses are fine.
Here is the error. Wish I could paste it, but it was faxed to me (20 faxes!!)
xbpfont
xbppressSpace
parameter has a wrong data type
gencode 2
operation init
dc_fontconfigure(146)
dc_printer:setfond(2467)
dc_printer:init(836)
dc_printeron(3533)
The rest of the error is ours and is not important (called program lines)
Thanks
Fred

Printer Error
Re: Printer Error
Hi, Fred.
Is the installed printer marked as the system/default printer?
Are all fonts installed you try to access in the printing routines of your app?

Re: Printer Error
Supposedly, and its arial font, which is not an odd font.
I told the guy to check that initially.
Is this error definitely what it says, its not finding the font?

Re: Printer Error
Well, they figured it out. It was not really a printer error. When they added the user on the server the user account was corrupted. They deleted the user again, readded, and now everything works.
