McAfee and Trojan

#1 Post by rdonnay »

McAfee has been trashing my eXpress++ / Xbase++ programs lately because it is recognizing them as a Trojan and is quarantining them.

Has anyone experienced this?

Hi Roger,

The previous version of Norton Antivirus did this and several of my clients called complaining that the software no longer worked.
It would list anything I wrote with xBase as having a trojan and erase it and quarantine it as soon as I ran it.

Luckily, Norton has a place where you can give a rating to your software so it no longers gives my software any grief.

McAfee must have something similar.

Roger,

For some anti-virus programs you have to disable the 'pro-active' security. Then it will work.
Best regards,

Chris.
