Search for a browse

Got a standard browse using a data file, not an array. The user wants to search for the id, no issue. Can open a small window to enter the id and search for it but the browse becomes completely unstable. It just locks up. Normally I use an autofind but did not really want to rewrite the browse method. Tried the obrowse refresh,etc, but it had no impact. The id is the file key.

Any suggestions are appreciated, or I will just redo the screen.
