Roger,
We run exe's on task schedulers at many locatons. Most not a problem, never stop.
What we are trying to accomplish is to write out an error log (ie, like in errorsys.prg) but with no prompts, just close the exe.
We can then trouble shoot why an exe gets hung up, which does occur at a location that has 3 running. The task on task scheduler has to be stopped and then started. Then always works for another week or so.
The temperr.log file ( or whatever we want to call it) should help, as will closing so the backup can run without stopping at the same place. We have the same exe running as a backup and closes immedidately if it sees the other one running.

Running exe on Task scheduler
Re: Running exe on Task scheduler
Fred -
Sorry for the lag in responding to you.
For the past 2 weeks I have been recovering from sinus surgery and it has not been easy to work at my computer due to sinus headaches, which are now much less frequent.
I am expecting to be spending much more time monitoring the forum.
I am not understanding what it is that you want me to do.
Are you saying that you don't know how to accomplish this task?
Roger
