Roger,
You had asked for possible topics for the conference.
My current concerns are primarily with developing a better look and feel (but no ribbons), to our dialogs. This year, we are going to re-work the UI for the second time since we originally did our windows software. The first re-work were tabbed pages within single dialogs, now we are looking at the multi-threaded tab pages to contain most of our file editing dialogs. In effect, the multi-threaded tab pages will be a semi-replacement menu system for the file dialogs.
From a marketing perspective, improving the look & feel is high on our list.
I'm interested in other developers approaches for better utilization of different screen resolutions with dialogs sizes and font changes. I'm not looking at scaling, which we've been doing for years now, but with different layouts and the most efficient ways of achieving this with the least amount of code changes.
these are just a couple of the ideas i wanted to get out there...
